Diabetes: A Global Threat
The number and prevalence of diabetes worldwide continue to grow.
In 2007, it is estimated that 554 million adults worldwide have either diabetes or pre-diabetes (Impaired Glucose Tolerance). By 2025, this number is expected to grow to 798 million adults, an increase of 44%.
