A New Approach to Diabetes Screening
The SCOUT DS™ system is intended to be the first non-invasive diabetes screening system that is designed to provide a more accurate and convenient method for screening type 2 diabetes and pre-diabetes. The SCOUT DS system employs fluorescence spectroscopy to measure advanced glycation endproducts (AGEs) in the dermis of an individual’s forearm. The concentration of AGEs in the dermis is an excellent indicator of cumulative hyperglycemic exposure and is highly correlated with the development of diabetes complications.
Easy Test Procedure
The SCOUT DS system is intended to make it easy to obtain a reading of a critical health indicator.
